Sorry, this ad cannot be turned off or deleted. Ads allow Yahoo to continue to provide users with free email and other services. You may wish to consider subscribing to Yahoo Ad Free Mail. This service costs $49.99 per year. To read more about Yahoo Ad Free Mail please see this Yahoo Help page:

Some users have recommended downloading Thunderbird, an email program from Mozilla that allows you to access Yahoo Mail without ads.
