People seem to have this inability to confront people. You're just going to stop talking to her and leave it up to her to figure out why you did?

Confront her. Tell her that you don't appreciate her remarks. Tell her that you need it to stop. If she calls you a big baby or keeps doing it - then you know she isn't actually your friend at all and then, yes, stop talking to her.
