Hacking my Instagram account?

So I downloaded this app to change Instagram likes (lame, I know) and they changed my password "for my protection." Well, I could easily reset my password by having them email a code to me, but the email set up to my account has a typo, so I can't access the email that will allow me to get my new password. I tried making a new email account with the typo account, but the verification code won't send to my phone, so I figure the only way to get my account back is to hack it. Please help!
