Yeah, that won't work. Petitions NEVER work because developers have NO reason to look at them, let alone respond to them.
The only thing that motivates a COMPANY is profits. if the last DMC had made money, they'd probably look at the franchise as viable. As it is, they have no more interest in the franchise so won;t devote any time or effort to it, not even to make the tweaks necessary to port it to the Vita.
