You don't PLAY twitter, silly goose.

You USE twitter as a social networking site *facebook, myspace, etc*
you post little messages "tweets" about whats going on in your life, and you get followers like on YouTube, but on YT, You get subscribers.

Twitter - Followers
YouTube - Subscribers
