Either get back together or get rid of him completely and move on. Dragging it out like this and keeping on clinging to each other is stopping you both from living. So, one or the other. Talk to him and donl;t get back with him unless youare totally sure you have both matured enough to work out the issues you had before.
When you have a problem, be more proactive. Grab it with both hands and throttle it until it's gone, don't just mope around waiting for it to go away...
