Internet NETGEAR A6200 WiFi USB not stable on my gaming desktop?

So I got a new USB for my internet and when I want to download things over night, say a torrent or a REALLY big file downloading on my chrome browser the internet just shuts itself off, like a little symbol with a monitor and a little red X symbol on the bottom left side. Sometimes, I have to change the USB slots which is really annoying because I cant find a USB slot without the internet going whack on this USB. I recently upgraded my main router hoping for better stabilization on the USB's internet but alas, no luck. That's why I called the computer company before I got the USB and said it's easier that I get an external USB so I went to RadioShack and bought one. So this is why I come to you guys, because heck why not.
