How do I set up my daisy chain of routers?

The other day I bought two new ASUS RT-N56U Duel Band Router. I have one router (Router 1) wired from the modem into it's WAN. In the first port of Router 1 I have wired in my second router (Router 2). The internet is coming through fine. Or so I thought. When on CoD Ghosts, I noticed my NAT type was "moderate" instead of "open" as is was before. This will hamper my connection to many other players. I need to know how to configure my routers for optimal gaming. I would DMZ, but i have my PC, PS4, and PS3 connected to Router 2. I need all machines to not be hampered. This includes any devices connected to Router 1. Please provide clear instructions (routers are NOT my thing) on how to set up my routers to allow the best possible wired connectivity.
