If you want big, you have to think big. You can run a website overnight and get tons of traffic. Stick to the basics, you should approach in this way:
Build quality website (Content, images)
Landing pages optimization (Know what your page is talking about)
Deliver high values to the page (What user will get from your site)
$50 budget and getting traffic can't help i think so. All the best for the future plans then. Finally go social...
