How do I get internet network to work on a Windows XP, Dell laptop that I got used? Any idea would help?

What kind of internet connection do you have?
Is it Wifi or the cable internet?
And the model number your laptop? ( just look at google if it has a wifi capability,)

Even if that laptop dose not have a wife card then you can still use internet using a cable, just buy a internet cable in store the you will know once you saw it, one side goes to your router and another in your laptop...
