How do I get internet network to work on a Windows XP, Dell laptop that I got used? Any idea would help?

Right click My Computer on the desktop. Click properties. Click the hardware tab. Click Device manager. Click the + sign next to Network adapters. Wired and wireless adapters will be listed.
Most laptops in the last 10 years have an Ethernet (wired) adapter. A lot have a wireless adapter. The information above will tell you what you have installed. Sounds like you need to actually look at the laptop and see what ports are there. Also look at the keyboard and see if there are keys that relate to a wireless adapter. I might also suggest that you to to the Dell web site and find the owner's manual. |
