When you place an ad on Facebook how much do you have to pay a day for it to be there?

I recently set up an ad for a new business on Facebook.
The way it works is they have you fill out this form that let's you target your ads to a specific demographic. For instance, if you have a upper scale hair salon, you may want to target only Females between ages 25-55 in a 20 mile radius of your shop. So Facebook will suggest a per day budget that it will charge you to display your ad. You will only pay (in my instance) when people click on the ad (or there are other options). They then charge your PayPal or credit card each week that your ad is active. You can set an end date. However, if you want to market the same business from above but target a broader demographic (say Female or Males ages 18-60), then Facebook will charge you a higher fee in exchange of exposing your business advertisement to a larger audience. Again, Facebook will give you a minimum budget based on how many Facebook users fall into your target audience category and you can choose to spend more money to have your ad appear more frequently. Facebook doesn't ask your payment info until the very end, so play around with the tool - there's no harm. |
