I can't figure out what I should do about this.. Help? (LADIES WEIGH IN GUYS TOO)?

Okay, so there's this girl I've been talking to for a while. She's really sweet sometimes and shows that she likes me a lot, but when I talked to her about making it official she said she would think about it. I treat her better than any guy she's ever been with. But my problem is sometimes she acts really sweet like she wants me, and then just stops and acts like she has this wall up, as if she doesn't want to in to deep with me. Recently she barely talks to me, I'm always the one that has to make the effort to talk to her, which isn't fair at all and have told her she has to meet me half way. Well she hasn't been doing that lately, and I've just been doing my own thing. I talk to other females, but they're just friends, I'm not flirting with them or anything. This is all on twitter so she can see it all, so obviously I wouldn't try and do something stupid on there. So when I talked to her today she was all upset, and wouldn't tell me why, she just went to sleep. But she was MAD, not like the other times this has happened, this seems worse. So I told her, you know I have female friends, I didn't anything wrong at all. I told her the other two times this happened that I only care about her, and only want her because she's the only one that can make me happy. But this time it just really made me mad, because I haven't heard from her in 3 days, and each day before that I had to make the effort to talk to her. Also when I did talk to her she acted is if she wasn't that interested in me. It hurts to be honest! Because I don't know what the heck is going on, I don't want to lose her. I really want to know what I should say to her, I have a feeling it has something to do with her sharing her true feelings about me, she's like a guy when it comes to her feelings, so I never know what's going on. (It honestly makes me feel like a chick because I feel like I'm the emotional one). I'm thinking she has such trouble opening up because she has been in nothing but abusive relationships, so maybe her showing little emotion has something to do with that? What should I do about this? I'm totally confused
