It's up to you. However, I would just be polite and say hi. Even meet up once in awhile. But not expect much out of a close friendship or have much expectation for more. You can still be a friendly acquaintance while keeping your distance and moving on.
Find a better friendship out there that is worthwhile. Don't let hurt get the best of you.
