i have alotta followers (over 2,000) and this is what i do/did:
1.)follow famous people so that people who also like them will follow you.
2.) search for friends on twitter, give them a shout out to say hey this is my new twitter
3.) say some funny stuff
4.) tweet during events like tv shows or events
5.) tweet trending topics
6.)follow random people's tweets that you like
and lastly,
7.) say that you follow back in your profile
