Those guys create the Social Network for you and advertise it, you just pay.

You can download an open source one from

And upload it via FTP on your web host.

Or you can download either a Blog or a Forum software, and upload it into your web host via FTP.

Web hosts are either free which give you limited bandwidth and limited website domain options, and there are paid Web hosts who offer maybe a bit more bandwidth with the domain of your choice if available.

I recommend members.000webhost.com as a free Web host.
