I am sorry to tell you that the feature has been removed from profiles on Oct 27 2012
The official Facebook says so

Where can I ask questions on Facebook?
You can ask questions on Pages, events, and groups. You can't ask questions from the top of your News Feed anymore. You'll still be able to see questions you've asked in the past by going to your activity log.
