My boyfriend's parents are forcing him to marry a woman he's never met before next year?

My boyfriend is an Indian Sikh, and I am a Catholic Filipino. We've been together for a year and a half and he is 20 and i am 21. My boyfriend has been distant on the weekend and had gone completely MIA. He stopped answering calls and texts to anyone, deleted his facebook and twitter accounts, everything. I confronted him on Monday, and he just started crying that his parents are forcing him to marry another woman next year that he doesn't know. I am devastated. He says it's not his decision and he's so stressed and torn. I am literally going into shock. He has been getting even closer to me than he has ever been in our entire relationship. He usually likes his space and likes to see me a few times during the week but also have time for his friends, but this week, he's seen me every single day, hanging out with me several times in a day. Please help. I can feel my heart breaking. I feel like he and i are getting much better and closer in our relationship, but I don't know if he is actually going through with this, or if his parents are reconsidering or whatever. I don't want to bring it up because it hurts me so much. Should I detach myself from my boyfriend now? I don't want to get hurt even more.
