This type of behavior is increasing within our society and increasing in the age groups that it is happening in. It's like many never leave the high school drama mentality any more. All you can do is keep out of the gossip. If any of them try sucking you in simply state that you don't want to hear about it. Eventually they will come around to your way or they will continue to gossip about you. Either way is going to suck for quite a while.
