How do you get rid of your facebook timeline?

Facebook have not publically stated when they will be forcing everyone to change to Timeline.

BTW If you hate Facebook TImeline and want it gone, there is a genuine method to get the old profile pages back. Facebook have deliberately omitted to make Timeline work with Internet Explorer 7. If you view Timeline pages with Internet Explorer 7 (or set your existing browser to pretend its IE7), you will see the old style profile pages instead. If you also want your friends to see your profile in the old style format too, you just need to point them to this solution too.
