Most of the answers you receive are opinions, but it is a fact that timeline is much more popular and it's biggest advantage is that it allows you to see all your actions right from day 1 besides it gives you a clear and much more organized look and you also have the benefits that you can upload your cover photo too. Also timeline,shows how many friends you added in which month,year,week.etc. Lastly, it looks much much more organized and is fresher to look at!
