Would you say this site is a scam or real?

Hello Dsadaserr,

Hmmm, I haven't bought anything from this site yet. Just heard of it. Obviously, there are a lot of websites that we can't directly pin-point whether or not they are legitimate.

With that, I'd like to share some tips and information that I found out about this site. Hopefully, these will help you out in your decision-making.

1) Typically, when I'm doubtful about a website, I check its identity using Verify1st.com. This is really helpful to uncover a site's reputation and relationships with other sites, too. It's a free online tool, but unfortunately, upon checking the site - http://verify1st.com/thenorthfacestyle.com - they don't have any information yet. Perhaps this will be indexed in the database on their next release.

2) As for http://www.whois.com/whois/thenorthfacestyle.com - obviously, the domain was registered last 25-Oct-2012 and will expire immediately on 25-Oct-2013. (It is relatively short to be in the business if you are a viable one, don't you think?)

3) Its global Alexa ranking - http://www.alexa.com/siteinfo/thenorthfacestyle.com - is way too far to be popular and there's NO DATA at all for sites linking into their website. (This involves HIGH RISK, because if your business is viable, someone will know about you and will start linking into your site.)

4) Since this is new, some reputation tools show that the domain is UK-based and there are other countries involved that can be considerable to be of at risk. Being relatively new, there are not much reviews to be found so you just have to be extra careful and gauge yourself if you're up to take a risk.

5) Upon checking the website, it's quite odd that they don't have a valid contact number - just a free e-mail address. A viable business should have one, don't you think so?

6) Also, I see icons at the bottom of the page. Anyone can just include those icons to make their site look more legit, but it would have been better if upon clicking on them, you'll be directed to the originator's site (just like how a valid Third Party Trust Verification Badge works)

Bottom line, all these don't automatically make them scammers (being new in the business), but they are not totally risk-free either. You may get what you ordered but it may not be the exact quality that you expect it to be or worse, you don't receive anything at all. If you have a bit of skepticism, just trust your gut. You can always purchase from an official North Face outlet. At least, you'll be sure that it's all genuine and warranty is secured.

Hope this helps! Tread carefully!
