Pros & Cons: iPhones VS Androids?

iPhones had several problems with call drops and quality. This is because of the death grip and blockage of the Antennas on the sides. With the new iPhone 5, the Titanium backing is basically a huge antenna due to the conductivity of the area. That said, the iPhone 5 and iOS 6 is great!

It's a no brainer to get the iPhone, as you said you're not very techy. Everything you mentioned matches the iPhone 5 completely.

Android lags WAY more than the iPhone. HOWEVER, with recent updates and phone softwares, Android has been able to catch up to iPhone in a milestone, in speed and less-lag.

Android has more features and such for those who'll actually use it.

Android - Customize and make it your own.
Apple - Simple and everything you need without a hassle.

For you, I highly suggest the iPhone 5 (Or 4S/4 if you don't want to spend as much).
It fits your needs and it can't get more simple than iPhone.
