It sounds like you did a lot more than just talk to him in school if he's that mad at you. I would reevaluate the situation and figure out if you did something that hurt him a lot more than talking to him. You don't have to say it here, just think about it yourself.

What does the fact that your group partner was Asian have to do with anything? Just wondering...
