Please help!! What do I do?

So I've been having an argument with my best friend. It all started with a girl who we knew briefly but didn't really talk to that much, though she hung out with the same group of friends as us. After she had a falling out with 2 of the girls in her friendship group, she then asked me and my best friend if she could hang out with us because we were the only friends she had left. We didn't really reply so its almost like she invited herself in.

For the past couple of weeks she has been inviting my best friend to places and not me. An example of this is that she invited her to stay at the beach with her family for 2 days. After she came back I told her how I felt, and she said she told the girl and she cried. According to my best friend she said she only wants to be my friend, which I fail to see as all she has done is left me out of situations deliberately. It's almost like my friends were keeping it a secret from me, and I didn't find out until the girl would post statuses and pictures on facebook.

I am really hurt and confused about this situation, as my best friend completely tossed aside my feelings and our year and a half of friendship for a girl she had only known for 2 months, maybe even less!

The worst part is that she sent me a big message on Facebook, saying that she wanted to talk, I sent her one back, and she hasn't even said anything to me face to face! When I asked one of her other friends why she hasn't spoken all she said was that she "wants to but she can't". Why not?? It is so frustrating because I know she can see how upset I am and she seriously hasn't done anything to mend the situation.

I am really worried about my best friend, because this girl who got between us has a habit of hanging out with people, then she gets bored and drops them.

What should I do?? Please help!!
