So, what can we learn from this?

Anything known by more than one person, is no longer a secret.
Don't tell things to your friends unless you want everyone to know.
Teenage girls talk a lot and love to tell secrets and tease their friends.

Can't think of anymore in 30 seconds.

So, live with it, you can't change the past. Wear body armor to deflect the metal ruler stabbing.
