Well facebook is a place to connect with friends. You should use it to share things,and see what other people are up to. You can express your thoughts by updating your status.

Poke is just when you go to your friends page and click POKE and its a game you can play back and forth.

Wall is where people can go to your profile and post things.
There's also a news feed where you can post your own thoughts and see what others are up to and there thoughts.

Mutual friends is when you and some one else have the same friends.
