This is only coincidental and doesn't offer much in the way of proof as to whether he likes you or not.
What you need to do is to go up to him close and ask him straight out "do you like me or not" if he says yes then ask "do you want to take me out?" coyly as you can. If he says no; then that's the end of your problems.
