With the advent of the internet and the subsequent ease with which porn and sexual related materials are infiltrating the everyday lives of not simply adults, but young adults, teenagers and even pre-teens. It is foolish at best to believe that sexual curiosity will not arise at younger ages then that of previous generations.
Unfortunately many parents are ill prepared to respond to this ever increasing age of free sex. Hence the common answers such as "I am the adult and you are the child". Do not fault your mother for making such a closed statement, it is quite evident that she is simply attempting to protect you and while most if not all members of younger generations believe that they "can handle themselves", the truth is, and yes you will realize this in time as we all have, you cannot handle yourselves.
While it is ignorant at best to say say that a 14 or 15 year old should not be considering having sex, the hard truth is that you will consider it, and you may even have it. And while it is easy to blame poor parental guidance, peer pressure or even a lack of self understanding. The Hard truth remains that the world we live in thrusts violence and porn down our throats. Because it SELLS. There is no greater pride than seeing beyond that which is forcefully fed to us through the ever intrusive media.
Bottom line, listen to your mother, and in time you will understand why she has said what she has said and you understand why she erred in the way she said what she said.
She may well be too conservative and overprotective, however your self avowed overdose, and your contact with older boys would be cause for alarm for any parent.
Everyone is held accountable for their actions in this world.
