Which Computer Processor to look For?
Alright, so my Dell from 2011 with a "Intel Core i3 CPU M 380 @ 2.53 GHz" is my current computer, and is basically on life support for various reasons.

So, with that in mind, I recently went to Walmart and picked up an HP with an "AMD E2-1800 APU with Radeon™ HD Graphics 1.7 GHz." Okay, I know some of you have already slapped your head, I understand, so did I.

Said computer has been returned, and lessons learned.

My question:

I am on the market for buying a new laptop. I intend on staying cheap, but just getting what will satisfy my needs. My current Dell N4010 with the aforementioned Intel processor has been super awesome to me. What I need to know, is what kind of computer would you all recommend that can compare to this one (Preferably from Walmart and/or Best Buy)?

Uses:
Homework
Watching .avi video
Watching YouTube Video
MINOR gaming (Facebook type stuff.)
Regular Internet & E-Mail

That said, the reason I ditched the computer from Walmart specifically, was because I could feel the slight delay in Windows when switching tabs, as well as video skip on Youtube videos. I don't want that.

Any suggestions for a computer that will provide me with what I need, while hopefully, staying below $500? (Might refer to Bestbuy.com or Walmart.com and recommend models to me.) Appreciate explaining what to look for in processors too.
Prefer to stay in the 15" screen range.
