Pray about all these things. You don't say if you are a Christian or not. You need to know the Lord and learn how to pray and walk by faith. It is good you work and that you do good things, and God sees all of that. He wants to help you and bless you and be your friend. Do you have a Bible? Read the book of John, and Romans 3:23; 6:23, II Cor. 5:10; 7:10, Revelation 3:20, II Cor. 5:17, 21, John 3:1-21; and 1:12-13. You need to get into a Full Gospel church. Find one that is friendly and caring and helpful.

As far as costs for apartments: they ask for first and last months rent, so that's a lot. You need to save some money up. The guys in that apartment are just taking advantage of you. Pray for a job that pays more so that you can save money. May God bless you and keep you! How much for the apartment depends on what area you are in exactly. For instance the SF bay area where I live is a high rental area. I happen to have a good deal now because I'm a senior citizen who worked for 19 years and disabled too.
