If a celebrity is not liked by public, why do they still get publicity/money?

Because people are still giving her the attention. That gives her publicity
The Media will put her in the press because they know it will get people to read about her. Haters will comment about her.
Her haters are still talking about her instead of just ignoring her. Some will still go on her youtube and comment which still gives her the attention. I don't like her but i don't go on and on talking about her. I just ignore what she does.

Scandals will get you in the tabloids and get people talking. Justin Bieber is losing alot of fans for his behavior lately but he is still being talked about for his actions.
As long as your being talked about you will still get paid money
