I have an twitter account with approximately 3500 followers. But, I have to say that Twitter is just an piece of crap. This place is just about spamming and nothing more. It is not worth to invest your time and efforts in your Twitter account.

By the way, if you want to get much as possible followers, simply follow others and lot of them will follow you. If they do not follow back, you can remove them automatically with a free software called Twittie.
