why dont i get a notification when somebody comments on my facebook status?

i have facebook and what i've noticed is that there is always some glitch with it or something wrong with it. that happens to me sometimes too. thats just the way it is. believe me, i know it's annoying. but i dont think there's anything you can do about it.
