Yes. Of course, FB is just fine. It doesn't matter how you do it. Actually, if you are willing to ask her in such a way that others can see it makes it so you are more serious. Do it so she has something to look forward to right away. Its a first date....the more relaxed the whole thing is the better. A first date shouldn't be like some super romantic thing, because that puts too much pressure on both of you. Super Romantic comes later. I think FB is perfectly good.
