African culture is naturally confrontational, because it is based on a conspicuous status system that is established by ritualistic confrontations to establish who is stronger or weaker than an existing occupant of the status hierarchy.

Africans are accustomed to this aggressive behavior, while individuals from outside African culture find it intimidating and threatening.

This, plus the multitude of other unique distinctions of African culture leads other people view Africans negatively.
