Can anyone help me understand Android!?!?!?

First of all, I have an android phone and I love it! People say it's more customizable than than the iPhone because of all the home screen personalization. You can personalize with widgets, live wallpaper, and other useful items from the Android Market. The downside of Android is that it's less developed than Apple. The app store is much more functional and has a greater variety of apps than the Android Market. Rooting makes your phone much more customizable because you can download custom versions of Android, change ANY file, download things that would rather say "read only".... basically you have TOTAL control over anything about your phone.
