Question about Ebay Bidding?
This is my first time bidding.

Let's say the thing I'm bidding on is now up to 200.99 dollars and it says the next bid must be over 203. I can't go over 220 on it, so can I bid 203 and then put on my highest paying amount like 1,000 dollars? My bid would go in as 203 though, but the next bid would have to be over 1,000.
If I win the bid, do I have to pay 203 or 1,000?
Thanks to everyone who answered, it all makes sense as to why no one does that, lmao. But they've got this new thing now where you can tell if you're the highest bidder or not. This is actually my second bidding item in one day. Lost the first one due to it got too high.
It was 123. Then I put 125 cause that's what it said to do (like the 203 in this other case), so I put 175 as my highest amount. Then I refreshed the page and it said the item was now 125 and the next bid should be 175 or higher.
