Which camera should I buy my girlfriend?

I was thinking about the Samsung Galaxy Camera because they're saying it's the most Technologically advanced Camera on the Market .. My Girlfriend is a Die hard photographer. Instagram is basically her life. I don't know which camera she has but I know it's a Canon & is 14 Megapixels. Now I've had a friend tell me that the Camera Quality is just like the phone I have (Galaxy Note 2)&that I shouldnt pay that much for only 2MP more. & that I can get her something better for much cheaper than the $400 they're selling it for. Like a Nikon at target which is 24MP & $200. But no other camera has the User Interface that the Galaxy Camera does. I'm stuck. Suggestions?
