Why are white people allowing themselves to become minorities in their own countries? ignorance? stupidity?

Not sure people are allowing it as much as it is being imposed upon them. All across the EU by wide majorities people wish to curb immigration. Same holds here in the US. This is despite decades of multi-cultural brainwashing attempts by the media. Diversity destroys social capital and leads to unhappy societies.
