Is it stupid to try and get back with this girl?

Okay, so over the summer I had 3 dates with this really awesome girl. Unfortunately she never called me again. That was in July. Anyway, I tried twice to friend her on facebook and sent her messages. In that time from what little I saw of her facebook page, she lost her older sister. Anyway is it dumb of me to try to get in contact with her. We both said we really liked each other, but I don't know what happened. I want to at least get in contact with her, but if she's ignored me twice, odds are she will again. Also I don't have her number. Someone did suggest looking up where she works and finding her email or phone, but to me thats crossing the line. So what should I do?
