The quickest/easiest solution is to right-click a video -- and then click on "Settings".
The first tab will show you an icon of a monitor and ''Enable Hardware Acceleration". Simply UNCHECK it, and everything should be fine. Otherwise: your ''cache'', "virtual memory'' and/or "pagefiling'' are nearly clogged-up. Simply delete your cache (along with your "cookies" and "history''), then shutdown and reboot.  After doing all of the above, you'll freak at how good & trouble-free you will be able to watch YouTube in full-screen. →  ≡  or wrench  → Tools  →  Clear browsing data →  the beginning of time ▼ [x] Clear browsing history [x] Empty the cache [x] Delete cookies and other site and plug-in data →  Clear browsing data Don't forget to totally shutdown+reboot afterwards. :-) Other possibilities + solutions: Disable any Adblock utility, play a video; then re-enable your Adblock the next day. There could be a Player conflict -- (like with Real Player, Pepperflash or Shumway). If that's the case, disable/uninstall it, and when you need it back, simply reinstall it. Disable your anti-virus program, since you can not get a virus from YouTube videos. You may unknowingly be using "HTML5'' instead of "Flash''.  To be sure, click here: http://www.youtube.com/html5  and opt out. |
