Hair Color Help with dye and developer?

Hi!
Assuming that your hair is a Level 5 Lightest Brown which is one Level darker than Level 6 Dark Blonde, you can formulate with Clairol Professional Crème Permanente 12A. The Ash base helps to counter unwanted brassy tones to provide a lighter blonde golden result.
Clairol Professional Hi lift shades and developer are mixed in a 1:2 ratio for maximum lift (1 part color to two parts 40-volume developer):
Formula :
2 oz. Crème Permanente 12A
4 oz. Crème Permanente dedicated 40-volume developer.
Apply to regrowth only being careful not to overlap the previously tinted hair.
Time for 45 minutes for maximum lightening. Rinse, shampoo and condition.

If you have 25% or less gray, you will need a mixture of Neutral and Ash to cover the gray. Suggestion: 1 oz 12A plus 1 oz 12N. But from what you are describing, it does not sound as though gray coverage is a concern.

I would not recommend that you pull the permanent color through your length since it was previously colored. Your hair does not need to be re-exposed to ammonia, which will alkalize or swell the hair shaft. Only the new virgin regrowth requires this process, and to expose hair needlessly to an alkalizer can cause damage—especially on longer hair lengths.

If you want even more shine and to refresh your long previously tinted hair, Crème Demi Permanente is the perfect glaze.
Formula:
1 oz. Crème Demi Permanente 10N
1 oz. Clear Mix Tone
2 oz. Crème Demi Permanente dedicated developer
Apply root to ends on clean, damp hair after permanently retouching ends.
Time for 15-20 minutes. Rinse shampoo, condition.

Clairol Professional’s SOY4PLEX formula in the colors and the Soy Activators in the developer will ensure that your hair is in its best condition throughout the coloring process. SOY4PLEX delivers the 4 signs if healthy looking color:
1)Deep conditioning
2)Healthy shine
3)Multi dimensional color
4)Long Lasting results

You can feel free to send me an email if you have any questions or would like to try some samples!

Good luck! And happy coloring Smile
