I don't usually answer questions but I happen to know many things and I can pinpoint your problem. You're sudden burst in sadness is because you have deep seeded negative emotions. You feel like your family is not how you would like it to be, and that you are stuck in worse conditions than you would like to be in. Your brain is reinforcing these thoughts every time you cry. The more you cry the easier it becomes to cry. Yes, this is depression, you need to find professional help. I think your parents may not be the best option. Instead go to your school counsellor or a local GP and ask them for an appointment.

PS. I'm a 20 year old guy who has suffered from clinical depression for years.
