10 points Why does internet connection keep switching from secure to insecure?

This is because your browser starts out connected to secure servers (denoted by 'https' URL prefix), but when you start moving around, it will display items not coming from those servers, but from 'regular' servers.
This condition is normally associated with advertising, but many advertisers are moving their own delivery methods to 'https' in order to get around browsers set to "display secure content only"...and thus get their ads displayed.

The best approach is to block 3rd party advertising, and remove the uncertainty about this kind of content even being allowed in the first place.
Effective control of returning assets takes several mod's, plus which browser is used.
Firefox is here: http://ca.answers.yahoo.com/question/ind...202AA4cljP
Chrome is here (although it's getting harder to get this to work as desired): http://ca.answers.yahoo.com/question/ind...409AAZGnI6
-----------
'Secure' servers should be used whenever possible. This assures that the content you are getting is exactly as it is on their server, and has not been manipulated during transit (by a "man in the middle"): that could lead to fake websites in control of the bad guys.

"HTTPS Everywhere" add-on assures you connect to those (if they are available), and "Certificate Patrol" will interrupt automatic acceptance of 'Certificates' and give you the power to accept or reject the Certificate. Both are for Firefox.
