Ok. Here's what you do. You slowly stop being their friend while you start to make new ones. Try the quiet girl or guy who always sits alone or is awkward with not many friends they usually turn out awesome. Then when people ask you what happened to your old friends you simply say "we just didn't work out as friends" this way when they talk badly about you they sound like the awful people and you sound awesome. This will probably attract more friends too . Hope I helped!!
