How can I get rid of the share option on a facebook status?

It looks like you have your privacy settings set to &quot;public&quot; rather than just &quot;friends&quot;. People can only share posts that their privacy is set to the public. Next time you update something, you can change public to friends. There is also a setting in your &quot;privacy settings&quot; where you can choose what the default setting for your next post will be. Set that setting to friends.
