facebook apps dont work?

This is a complex issue. It sounds like your problem is a browser problem, not that specific app. Mozilla Firefox is a much more efficient browser then Internet Explorer. Although IE is more common, there are many flaws. If Mozilla Firefox doesn't fix it (doubt it) edit your applications here:

If it is possible without going to the homepage to edit the settings, I would suggest it. Another possibility could be that Facebook had a maintenance period and the format may have been messed up. You posted your question 3 days ago, so your problems may have been fixed automatically.

A final possibility could be the actual app. As they state clearly, 'This App is not made by Facebook' so the developer may have some flaws in his/her code.
