I don't think we'll know for sure until an investigation is conducted, and the perpetrator is brought to justice.

I do have to say, I found this excerpt from your first link 'interesting':

"Some students and members of the community have expressed concern on the event’s Facebook page, stating that the talk is creating an unsafe space for victims of sexual assault, as well as women in general on campus."

And then there's the description of the attacker: a man who knew her name.

These are all very curious details...so I'd be interested in finding out what the investigation turns up.

No one deserves to be assaulted for expressing their opinions, but as we do not know who assaulted her or why, the fact that she's apparently claiming that the assault was in response to her opposition to that MRA event does leave me wondering if this wasn't a matter of her taking one for the team in order to silence views that she and her feminist sistas deem objectionable.
