My mum doesn't know about my Instagram account?

There is nothing wrong with having an Instagram account, you can use it to communicate with your friends. But if your worried about your mom finding out then you should probably shut it down, maybe ask for her opinion first. I know you said she will probably say no, but tell her all your friends have accounts. Convince her that nothing wrong could possibly happen if you owned an account, but then again if she says no then you should probably respect her opinion and just not use it. Because if she finds out about it she may not trust you again.
